Background Check

Are You Registered with the Family Care Safety Registry?

Potential employees must be registered with the State of Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Family Care Safety Registry. Potential employees will undergo a State of Missouri FCSR check. The FCSR check will be conducted annually on all CCSS employees. Please click HERE  to access their website.

Motor Vehicle Record Reports Check/Proof of Insurability

A valid driver’s license and proof of insurability is required for all potential employees. Potential employees will undergo a State of Missouri Motor Vehicle Record check. The MVR check will be conducted annually on all CCSS employees.

Drug Test

All job applicants are subject to drug and alcohol testing. All offers of employment with CCSS are conditioned on the applicant submitting to and successfully completing and passing a drug and alcohol test.
CCSS employees are strictly prohibited from reporting to work intoxicated or impaired by or under the influence of alcohol, inhalants, illegal drugs, marijuana (recreational or medical), non-prescription controlled substances, or other controlled substances or intoxicants.

GED or High School Diploma

Potential employees are required to present proof of GED or high school diploma prior to employment.

 CCSS purchases $40,000 of life coverage for full-time employees, with the option for employees to purchase supplemental life

Accident and Critical Illness Insurance

 CCSS purchases accidental insurance for full-time employees, with an option for employees to purchase critical illness

Short Term Disability Coverage

 CCSS funds short-term disability after one month of continuous employment for full-time employees who are unable to work

Employee Assistance Program

CCSS employees have access to an Employee Assistance Program and 24-hour virtual visits, if and when the need arises.

LAGERS Retirement Plan

CCSS participates in the Local Area Government Employee Retirement Plan (LAGERS) and funds the monthly premium for this pension plan, with eligibility for disability and survivor benefits.

Deferred Compensation

CCSS offers a voluntary deferred compensation plan through a national company that allows full-time employees to save for retirement on a voluntary basis.

Vacation Leave

Full-time employees accrue 8 hours of vacation leave each month which may be used after completing 3 months of employment.

Sick Leave

Full-time employees accrue 8 hours of sick leave each month which may be used after accrued.

Holidays

Generally, CCSS observes 13 holidays each year.

Full job description

Benefits: Full-Time position only

Full-Time Schedule: M-F, Day Shift

Part-Time Schedule: M-W-F, Day Shift

Duties:
– Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
– Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
– Promote positive behaviors and ensure the safety of individuals
– Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events
– Maintain a clean and organized program environment
– Drive participants on outings, and other activities as needed

Qualifications:
– Maintain CPR/First Aid and Level 1 Medication Administration certification
– Ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed
– Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
– Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
