Individuals who have a diagnosis of an intellectual and/or developmental disability may apply for services or funding through CCSS. A developmental disability is a lifelong condition which occurs in a person's life prior to age twenty-two, resulting in substantial functional limitations in multiple, major life activities.
All persons served by CCSS have the responsibility to apply for and cooperate in maintaining eligibility for Medicaid, other government resources and benefits, private insurance or other third-party benefits that help to share the cost of providing day services. The family or individual is responsible for applying for and maintaining benefits.
